Our international client is looking to recruit a Storesperson (Engineering bias) to their team.
Responsibilities:-
Reporting to Purchasing & Materials Manager
Management of the stores, ensuring all parts are positioned, stored and protected effectively
Be methodical and ensure operating procedures for the stores are enforced on all levels
Ensure all stores and goods receiving procedures are carried out: including inspection of incoming goods, quantity, quality and Conformance
Provide components/materials from stock to satisfy requirements from all departments on time
Stock control of materials, finished goods and consumables using Infoflo MRP system
Maintain effective stock control at all times and instigate the purchase of materials where necessary
Fulfilment of Bill of Materials for production and contracts, through kitting up and correct use of the WIP area
Packing and preparing delivery of goods to customers and subcontractors
Inputting despatch information onto automated labelling system, to ensure goods are delivered to the correct place at all times
Complete GRN of stock received from suppliers against purchase orders
Maintaining tidy and well-ordered stores
Candidate Specification:-
Solid understanding of warehouse systems and processes
Able to work independently on own initiative, as well as part of a team
Have a good knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering equipment and parts
Able to manage your own workload to cope with simultaneous projects
Able to work to tight deadlines
To have experience in manual handling using correct techniques and with knowledge of safe lifting limits
Demonstrate a high standard of punctuality, attendance and work ethic
Experience and good working knowledge of ISO9001
Counterbalance / Forklift License
Computer literacy essential
Salary according to experience plus overtime and benefits including 5 weeks paid holiday and a company pension scheme.
