Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + package
Location: London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office / 2 days WFH)
Overview:
The Resolute Group is proud to be partnering with the leadership team of a major Train Operating Company to recruit a Strategy & Analysis Manager. This high-impact leadership role sits within the Passenger, Tickets & Revenue Protection team and plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of UK rail services.
Working at the intersection of commercial strategy and data insight, this individual will lead a team of five analysts, supporting their professional growth through mentoring, one-to-one development, and hands-on leadership. The role focuses on the delivery of strategic business cases and actionable insights to internal executives and external regulatory bodies.
You will work closely with key industry stakeholders such as the Department for Transport (DfT), Great British Railways (GBR), Network Rail, HS2, and various Train Operating Companies (TOCs), ensuring that analytical outputs are translated into clear, business-focused recommendations that support long-term decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of five analysts, supporting their development and performance.
- Oversee the creation and presentation of critical strategic reports and data insights, aligned with PDFH standards
- Translate complex data into concise, commercially focused recommendations for executive stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison between the analysis team and senior leadership across both internal departments and external regulatory organisations.
- Influence national rail strategy through regular engagement with key governing bodies including DfT, GBR, and others.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree-level education is preferred, ideally in a relevant field to support performance at a senior strategic level.
- Proven experience in the Rail transport sector is essential as you will need to understand PDFH standards to a certain degree.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams in a data or strategy-focused environment.
