We're looking for a Street Lighting Operative to join our Transportation Team based in Birmingham. Location: Thimble Mill Lane, Birmingham

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £25k - £30k plus benefits



Responsibilities

As a Street Lighting Operative, you'll be working within the Transportation Team, supporting them to carry out routine preventative and reactive maintenance on streetlighting assets, on the Birmingham Highways Interim Services Contract.

Your day to day will include:

  • Carrying out maintenance and construction works in accordance with the contract. Including installation, removal and maintenance of Street lighting Assets.
  • Assisting with the completion of the maintenance programme ensuring accurate recording and documentation of work is maintained. As well as attend regular meetings with Supervisor/manager to review progress and maintenance operations
  • Ensure completion of all necessary health and safety records such as risk assessments, permits, HAVS monitoring


Who are we looking for?

This role of a Street Lighting Operative is great for you if you have:

  • HGV Licence CAT C
  • Experience in the maintenance of Streetlighting operations. As well as experienced in the successful delivery of maintenance / construction projects to tight time and budget constraints.
  • Good working knowledge of risk management.
