Structural Engineer Job in the Midlands or South East

This is an opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join one of the UK's largest later living house builders based from either their Midlands office or one of their offices in the South East. The company currently employ over 600 staff across 5 offices and have ambitious growth plans in place for the future.

As the Structural Engineer, you'll be running your own projects and supporting other members in the technical and engineering team with their projects. As part of the in-house technical and engineering team you'll be working on buildings from 2 - 5 stories across the Midlands and South East.

Role & Responsibilities

- Produce calculations for apartment blocks 2 - 5 stories
- Produce construction drawings
- Producing calculations for load bearing walls, concrete roofs, and wide spanning concrete floors
- Offer input with regards to foundations and retaining walls
- Site inspections
- Support other members of the technical team
- Liaise closely with the Pre-Contracts team, Land Buyers and Commercial team


Required Skills & Experience

- Degree or similar in Structural Engineering
- Previous experience with volume house building ideally
- Previous experience producing your own structural calculations
