Position: Structural Engineer

Location: Surrey

Salary: Neg DOE

Requirements:

  • A Bachelors degree in engineering.
  • A Masters degree in structural engineering would be an advantage
  • Candidate should be nearing chartered status
  • A good portfolio of facade structural engineering work is expected

In general the duties will include:

  • Engineering analysis using our proprietary software and structural engineering calculations. We may also include thermal or acoustic calculations.
  • Creation of programs and spreadsheets for automated calculation.
  • Creation of standard calculations within TEDDS for the various components which we design on a regular basis.
  • Calculations for structural engineering projects with the company.
  • Checking the work of our staff and external structural engineering consultants.
  • Assisting with any structural engineering related business matters.
  • Keeping a library of facade structural product information up-to-date.
  • Liaison with the Steel Construction Institute and other bodies.
  • CAD drafting and the production of GA and detail drawings on projects. Also supervision of our CAD drafting consultants.
  • Assisting site monitoring, investigations and surveys as and when required.
  • Report writing.
