This role will involve supporting the Structures Asset Team Leader in the project management, safety and technical accountability. You will undertake structures inspections in accordance with CS450, CS454 and current relevant standards. Plan all aspects of structures inspection works to include compliance with health & safety legislation and specific area network occupancy requirements. Help with the successful delivery of projects against a given brief, to budget and programme. Keep a log of project progress and ensure the Team Leader is updated regularly, this could include producing factual structures related reports that meet specified quality and objectives

It will be crucial to comply with the requirements of Asset Management ISO 55K and to follow the procedures surrounding the quality and environmental system. You will use bespoke databases to aid the overall management of structures.

What?are we looking for?
  • Experience of structures inspections (or willing to learn) in accordance with CS450, CS454 and current relevant standards
  • HNC in Civil Engineering or willing to work towards this qualification
  • Working toward Structures Inspector Competencies and Certification in accordance with Highways England 'Interim Advice Note 192/16'
  • Comfortable with working at heights and within traffic management
  • Proven project management of highway structures projects (or similar) tasks and delivery to programme and budget in a safe environment
  • Ability to work with key clients, keeping them apprised of project progress accordingly
  • Confident in report writing and delivering information
  • Full UK driving Licence
