Would you say that your strengths lie in your leadership skills and engineering acumen? Are you an experienced Sub Agent or Senior Section Engineer looking for their next freelance opportunity? If so, we would be delighted to hear from you so we can discuss this role with you further.
You will have proven experience of large civils projects and management of staff together with an excellent civils background - particularly in piling, bulk excavations and heavy reinforced concrete structures.
You will be working on an iconic project in Hull where your skills and management qualities will be highly valuable to the nightshift team. As well as possessing excellent technical and engineering capabilities, you will also be commercially aware and have a strong ethos in ensuring that H&S and QA is enforced and adhered to.
For this particular assignment, your main key responsibilities and duties will include:
Assisting the Agent when and where required
Managing and tasking of Site Engineers
Conveying planned works and ensuring the completion thereof
Enforcing method statements and managing the risk
Monitoring the budget and compiling cost reports
Ensuring Health and Safety as well as QA
Flagging and resolving technical issues
Management of Sub Agents, Section Engineers and reporting to the Project Manager
This is an ideal opportunity to let your engineering and leadership skills shine and your previous experience on working on large civil engineering projects will be highly valued in your application.
If you feel that your skills and experience are just right for this role, you will also need to demonstrate:
A Civil Engineering qualification
Extensive previous Civil Engineering construction experience in the UK
Experience on large projects
Sound management skills
The ability to work continuous night shifts
All relevant certification

Rate advertised is the standard daily rate, night rates will be discussed.
