Introduction:



Kier Local Highways are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to join our Suffolk County Council Highways contract.







Kier Highways design roads, bridges and intelligent transport systems (ITS), covering strategic and nationally important roads, as well as local roads serving local communities. Our projects range from major improvements to complete renewals of roads and structures. With specialist teams, we manage complex works from conception through to handover at the end of maintenance periods.







Key responsibilities:







  • General site supervision, including completion of records as required, this includes the day to day organising of labour
  • Ensuring full site SHE compliance and that all personnel adhere to safe working practices
  • All Health and Safety issues on site, completion of paperwork for records
  • Corresponding with Client/Consultant/The Public and other colleagues to monitor progress and inform of problems
  • To ensure all works comply with relevant environmental legislation and that recycling takes place whenever possible
  • Participate in Emergency and Winter Maintenance duties within working hours and outside working hours.
















    • Skills and experience required:















  • Preferable to have a certificate in Site Safety Management (attended 5 day course)
  • Preferable to hold a valid Supervisors NRSWA card
  • Extensive experience in highways maintenance
  • Experience in Highways Maintenance at a supervisory level
  • Must be able to Drive
