Protocol are working with a leading FE College situated in South West London. Our client delivers high-quality vocational training and higher education courses from two sites.

The College's students are at the heart of what they do, and their priority is to prepare all their learners for their future. After their studies are completed, many students have gone on to study at top universities such as Bournemouth, Brunel and St. Mary's, Twickenham or alternatively have gone on to jobs at Heathrow, Sky, Rolls Royce and the Metropolitan Police to name but a few.

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity to join them on a temporary basis as a Supported Learning Lecturer starting September

Role responsibilities
Assist the Curriculum and Quality Team Manager in the development of student-centred teaching/learning strategies and deliver high quality teaching and learning.
Advice and assist the Curriculum and Quality Team Manager with regard to course development and planning.
Negotiate targets for performance with the Curriculum and Quality Team Manager and ensure that agreed action is taken to ensure continuing improvement to the quality of the provision
Liaise with other lecturers and other appropriate staff regarding matters of assessment, student progress, work placements and other organisational matters.
Ensure that reports relating to students' progress are prepared for parents or outside professional agencies as appropriate.
Work with, and act as course tutor to students with a wide range of learning disabilities, within the area of Supported Learning

The person & qualifications
Possess a specialist qualification relevant to the supported learning areas
Have relevant experience in the field of SLDD
Have experience of teaching students with SEN and have the ability to support students towards agreed learning goals.
Show commitment to and be able to provide evidence of continuous professional development and demonstrate its impact on teaching and learning.
Must have an enhanced DBS on the update service or within 12 months (or be willing to apply for one)
