With a strong reputation for excellence, they specialise in fire safety assessments, compliance management, and training. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fire Door Surveying Manager to lead their fire door surveying operations, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and industry best practices.

Position: Fire Door Surveying Manager
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum + Package
Contract Type: Permanent

As a Fire Door Surveying Manager, you will play a pivotal role ensuring fire door safety and compliance across various properties and facilities. You will oversee fire door inspections, manage a team of surveyors, and provide expert guidance to clients. This role requires a strong technical background in fire safety, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to improving fire safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and developing a team of fire door surveyors, ensuring high standards in fire door inspections and compliance assessments.
- Overseeing surveys, identifying and documenting non-compliance issues, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Advise clients on fire door safety regulations and best practices while implementing quality assurance processes to maintain consistency and accuracy in all surveying operations.
- Liaising with contractors, building managers, and regulatory bodies will also be a key part of the role, ensuring all fire safety requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in fire door surveying, compliance assessments, and fire risk management, along with a strong understanding of fire safety legislation, including BS 8214 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Leadership experience is essential, as is the ability to train and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills are required, as well as proficiency in using digital reporting tools.
- Relevant certifications such as FDIS Diploma, BM Trada Q-Mark, or IFSM Fire Door Inspection Scheme are highly desirable.
