This new position will report to the Group Head of Sustainability and work closely with key stakeholders from across the business.
Who are we looking for?
- We are looking for a Sustainability Data and Reporting Analyst, with previous experience in data management, analysis and reporting, ideally in the field of energy, carbon or sustainability.
- You'll need the ability to communicate complex data in simple to understand formats, with excellent analysis and report writing skills.
- The ability to multi-task, work under tight timelines, prioritise tasks, keep highly organised, and work well both independently and with various partners is critical.
Key responsibilities
- You will be responsible for managing all sustainability data including carbon, electricity, gas, fuels, water, waste, recycled products and eco products, biodiversity, people, community and social data.
- You will ensure that the data is complete and accurate, and you will improve the data validation processes, resolving discrepancies and reconciling data across sources, providing training or guidance to others if required.
- You will track our Group-wide sustainability targets, performance goals and KPIs and run scenarios on target performance in excel.
- You will develop internal exception reports, monthly reports and sustainability dashboards providing commentary on trends and exceptions identified as well as identify areas of improvement.
- You will benchmark and forecast for the various Business Divisions and provide the necessary data and commentary to support business planning and improvement projects.
- You will make this data presentable to external audiences via the company's Annual Report and the company website, as well as provide timely and high-quality responses to any requests for information required by Customers, Investors, Banks, Trade Associations, Government or Academia.
- You will compile annual disclosures to recognised reporting standards or frameworks such as GRI, CDP, DJSI, SASB, TCFD.
- You will track and keep abreast of global regulatory developments and changes to reporting standards and best in class disclosure performance.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor/Master's degree (Environmental Science / Finance / Accountancy background. preferred) or 3 years relevant work experience with sustainability reporting, metrics, standards.
- Experience of data management, analysis and reporting is essential, however experience of this within the energy, carbon or sustainability sector would be an advantage.
- Awareness of relevant sustainability guidelines and reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD)
- Knowledge of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Protocol as it relates to measuring Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions is useful.
- It will be an advantage to have hands-on experience with sustainability or ESG reporting from a corporate or investor (ESG) perspective for a large company.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Strong power point presentation, report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Passion for sustainability and keen to make an impact in the Construction sector
