A large, highly successful college group in Greater Manchester are seeking a talented and trained Teacher of Carpentry and Joinery to join the organisation on a Part-Time, Temporary basis (Wednesday to Friday, 9am - 3pm ,16 hours per week, for 7 weeks with a possible extension).

Enrolling 900 students per year and employs 600 members of staff who work together to support the growing student body and ensure quality and efficiency in all aspects of the college, from teaching and learning to support functions. The college prides itself on delivering the best teaching and learning possible, giving all students great opportunities and a guaranteed high quality education and offering specific courses supported by the very best facilities for that area.



Role & Responsibilities



Deliver exceptional teaching and learning and motivate, inspire and engage learners
Produce engaging schemes of work and lesson plans
Setting, marking and recording of students work including assessments as necessary
Maintenance of class registers, work programmes and records in your area of work
To positively contribute to a safe learning and work environment ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Safeguarding Policy and Procedure


The person & qualifications



Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent)
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience using ICT systems including student databases
Experience of teaching in a further or higher education environment
Proven organisational ability
Excellent communication and administration skills
Ability to write comprehensive and analytical reports
Be committed to Safeguarding and Equality & Diversity
A DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain)
