Protocol are pleased to offer the opportunity to work with a fantastic Further Education college in Derbyshire who are looking to recruit an Engineering Teacher to deliver levels 1 - 4 Welding qualifications.
This college is frequently praised as being a great environment to work in with a supportive faculty. The position will be full time and temporary on-going with permanence for the right candidate. Role responsibilities
To work effectively within a learning environment (Classroom, workshop and industry)
To identify and apply strategies to facilitate effective learning (Classroom, workshop and industry)
Facilitating and assessing.
Tutor/Mentoring.
To carry out a range of workshop and classroom teaching duties in both FE, HE & industrial settings
To undertake risk assessments for all current and future workshop activities/assessments and equipment and maintain/update as per college guidelines
The person & qualifications
Experience of the relevant industrial context in Welding
Familiar with a range of FE accreditation/specifications and the HE validation process
Familiar with UCAS approved Welder Certification and CSCS Welder Cards
Certificate in Education/PGCE/Professional Diploma in Teaching or willing to work towards
Level 3 qualification or higher in Welding
A1 Award or willing to work towards (must achieve within 12 months of start date)
L2 Maths & English
