We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure service, working on large scale Infrastructure projects. We are currently recruiting for a Cost Clerk / Administrator reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for the support of the procurement and cost management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Office Manager, Senior Buyer, Project Engineers, Commercial Manager and team with the placing or supplier orders, accounting, and commercial administrative functions on the Project.
- You will manage Goods Received Notes, including collection from site, collation/task code/validation and GRN system entry (Plant & Materials).
- Invoice verification, where system applicable, including Invoice matching and processing, invoice queries, and exception handling.
- Recording and processing of payroll information, labour allocation, labour-only subcontractors including, assisting with cost monitoring, and reporting including and general duties.
- Computer literate, with experience of Microsoft Office including Excel
- Ideally have knowledge and practical understanding of finance systems (Oracle and Causeway)
- Ideally familiar with procurement processes
- Attention to detail
- Time management
- Working as part of a team to deliver objective of the project and wider business
