Would you be interested in joining a world leader in Machinery Safety? Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented, results-driven Graduate to work within Machinery Safety based in Northamptonshire commutable from Coventry, Peterborough, Leicester, Rugby and Milton Keynes.
Working within the team, our client will give you comprehensive Machinery Safety training so you can provide safety guidance to customers in the best way to achieve machine safety compliance to the applicable safety standards and regulations. The successful candidate will receive full in-house training on the job to build their skill set and knowledge within Machinery Safety. You will also undergo ongoing professional development with the opportunity to gain further accreditation and career advancement within Machinery Safety.
It will be your responsibility to also visit customer sites across the UK and overseas, conduct risk assessments, provide safety reports, and perform safety design reviews, as well as other similar consulting-type activities. The successful graduate will be responsible for identifying opportunities for growth and development of the service, as well as driving and developing the safety consulting business.

The key purpose of this role is to provide clients with a compliance service related to machinery safety in respect to guarding and safety related control systems. This will primarily involve carrying out PUWER assessments and CE marking for machines and complex assemblies. Main responsibilities include: -

Consultancy services at design and installation stage
Site audits and testing of existing plant and equipment, covering PUWER and CE requirements
Pre-delivery inspections
Ongoing training and funding for further accreditation including chartership
There is a well-established administration team to assist on procedural matters and a team to offer technical expertise and peer review.
The successful Graduate Engineer will be:

A straight talker, pragmatic with great communication skills.
Qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline e.g. BEng / MEng Electrical Engineering
You will be motivated to join a consultancy team and be ambitious to work in a variety of manufacturing environments to utilise your skills.
You should have the willingness and drive to want to learn and gain new a new skill set. You will be mentored and mentored by a Principal Consultant to develop your commercial and engineering skills.
