Leading SIPs manufacturer requires a Design Manager to be responsible for developing and managing the technical/design team.
This manufacturing company is one of the UK's leading players in providing SIPS building solutions for the Self-build and Education markets.
Due to the significant benefits offered with a SIPS and Timber frame systems, this company has an exceptionally strong pipeline of works, and thus an organised Technical Manager is sought to ensure these schemes are delivered, fulfilling both time and quality requirements.
This could be the perfect role for someone who is a senior designer/design manager looking to take a step up or a current technical manager who wants a refreshing and exciting challenge.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Previous experience within the construction industry - SIPS / timber engineering / frame / offsite experience / steel frame would be ideal but not essential
- Experience using CAD software - timber frame specialist software would be ideal but not a necessity
- Confident dealing with external consultants for design development and procurement of contracts
- Innovative thinking for new solutions to construction practices
- Hardworking, quality focused, attention to detail and strong communication skills
