Technical Director - Renewco Power

Our client, Renewco Power is looking for a Technical Director.

You will be a key member of the senior management team which includes a number of Europe's most successful renewable power professionals.

As Technical Director your initial focus will be on providing technical expertise and guidance on the roll-out of large-scale solar and wind farms across the UK and Europe. The company has ambitious growth plans and is targeting the development of significant +4GW assets within the next five years. We are agile and entrepreneurial in our approach.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate for this role. You will need the commercial expertise to accelerate the delivery of the development strategy. You will take on responsibility for all technical and engineering activities in the development of solar PV and BESS sites across Europe. It is a broad ranging role and over the coming months it will require a hands-on approach, a leader who is willing to get involved in every stage of project planning from site identification to development.

Key responsibilities:

. Support in deploying battery storage strategy from a technical perspective.
. Leading technical due diligence for acquisition opportunities.
. Coordination of technical advisors and co-development partnerships.
. Defining and negotiating scope of work with contractors and co-development partners.
. Coordinating and monitoring progression of work, cost planning, development budget and estimates.
. Supporting business development activities, site visits, preliminary plant design and yield study.
. Site identification for greenfield projects.

Our ideal candidate will be an Engineer who has worked as a senior technical manager, project developer, EPC Manager or consultant within the energy, solar or wind power construction industry. Your experience should include building, developing and empowering teams to deliver projects to the highest standards.

. Technical project development.
. Plant design
. Yield study analysis
. Solar identification
. Grid integration
. Battery storage design and asset monetization know-how;
. EPC contract management, contract technical/commercial negotiation skills

You will also need to be

. Dynamic and ambitious.
. A strong leader and team player.
. Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
. Flexible.
. Fluent in Spanish and English, Italian is a plus.
