Global data centre colocation provider operating almost 30 state of the art data centre facilities across Europe and Asia is currently seeking a Technical Director to take a leading role within the Major Builds Delivery team on Hyper scale data centre facilities.

Roles:

Play a leading role in the delivery of the Data Centres Initial Due Diligence Studies, Fit Tests and Preliminary Optioneering Studies, managing external engineering consultants to meet programme, design, and other requirements

You will provide multi-disciplinary technical guidance to the Real Estate (Development - Site Selection Due Diligence) and Design & Engineering Teams.

Tracking of all major new technologies and design solutions that may have application to data centres and delivering a strategy to ensure optimal utilisation of technologies and designs on the most cost effective basis available in the market.

Assisting the Global Head of Design and Engineering to prepare strategic plans for R&D activities and identifying and organising Technical

To provide advice and assistance to other Engineering, Delivery and Commissioning teams, site management teams and operations on all matters relating to engineering and design.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline
15 years of experience in the Data Centres industry
Fluent in English; preferred other languages like French, German, Japanese.
In-depth experience with Electrical, Cooling and Control Systems technical design and researching
Proven Hyperscale Data Centre design experience (minimum above 50MW)
Substantial experience of working in the Built Environment engineering industry.
Delivery of large capital expenditure projects with a high dependence on MEP.
