We are pleased to present a very real career opportunity for a talented and driven Architectural Technician to work on some innovative building solutions. As Manager of a team of one (initially!) you will need to be hands-on for the design process, and ensuring that the designs are executed to the quality standards required, working with stakeholders at all stages of the build.

You will be engaging at the enquiry stage, but remaining close to the process both in designing and overseeing/monitoring the work of your colleagues and subcontractors. At all times you will need to take ownership, with your eye on the successful completion of each project.

You are likely to have a good knowledge of the housebuilding industry and/or modern methods of construction, whether modular building, timber frame, light gauge steel, SIPS or similar, and be able to engage with and oversee all stages, from groundworks, through to specification of materials and design, compliance (Building Control, Building Regulations) the build process and through to site installation. You will be able to anticipate problems, thus preventing rather than solving them, and working with your colleagues to keep things running smoothly.

We don't expect you to be particularly hung up on job titles, but this does not mean you aren't highly ambitious. There is some real prospect for progression here, and for the right person the sky really is the limit.
