Technical Manager Job in Sevenoaks
Technical Manager role for a growing consultancy based in Sevenoaks, working with the defects and technical department on residential regeneration and new build projects across London and the Southeast. The role offers a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + competitive benefits package and flexibility to work remotely.
The consultancy offers a multitude of services to include project management, surveying, cost consultancy and design management and specialise in residential and affordable housing projects for developers, RPs, and Local Authorities. Made up of around 65 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work across London and the Southeast.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead on closing down outstanding/disputed defects, escalating as necessary
- Inspect and resolve certain latent defects via the contractor or warranty provider
- Lead on closing down defects with junior staff
- Ensure surveyors are progressing closing out activity, paperwork and fees
- Undertake inspection services to projects local to your home, or where your experience is required
- Support snagging and handover activity
- Undertake end of defects inspections
- Coordinate with team leaders to trigger rectification of defects by sub-contractors
- Liaise with team surveyors and client/contractor as necessary.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience as a technical manager
- From a developer, contractor background
- Experience in residential large-scale new build projects
- Ideally MRICS / MCIOB / RIBA or working towards any of these accreditations
- Relevant construction related Degree
