Location: based from our site at the Neath Port Talbot Hospital

Business Area: Kier Places - Facilities Manager

Contract & hours: full time, permanent

In this Technical Manager role, you will be based at the Neath Port Talbot Hospital and report to the Contract Manager. You will be responsible for the complete delivery of all the Technical requirements within the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract relating to the provision of the Hard Facilities Management Services. With 10 years curretly remaining on this partnership with the Hospital, you will oversee a number of engineers and all aspects ofthe Mechanical and Electrical Services, Energy Management, Grounds Maintenance, Lifecycle works and variations.




Key Responsibilities

The Technical Manager will ensure compliance with all aspects of the technical requirements of the contract and have full management responsibility of PPM and Statutory PPM works, ensuring all are completed on time, and any remedial works arising from these visits are recorded, booked in and completed. You will develop staff through associated training; ensuring they're undertaking their duties in line with contractual requirements, Kier procedures and their job description.

You will manage all technical aspects at the site as well as full operational responsibility of the on-site maintenance team, as well as identify contractual, financial, technical and operational risks to find opportunities for value engineering, in order to minimise risk. The Technical Manager will also be responsible for compliance with all HTM's and SFG20 requirements.


What do we need from you?

The successful Technical Manager will have an M&E background and experience in facilities management and will have experience in managing a team of engineers and building fabric operatives. With relevant qualifications to at least ONC or equivalent in engineering you will also hold IOSH Managing Safely and hold relevant technical qualifications.

With good working knowledge of BMS Systems, CAFM System and ideally FSI Concept you will have in-depth knowledge and experience in building services, statutory regulations and compliance including HTMs and SFG20.
