We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join this company's family, who can bring their knowledge to the team. As a technical project manager, you will design, quantify and prepare drawings for Production and Site Operative's, liaising with all departments and clients to maintain their Standard. Our client manufactures and supplies full timber frame housing kits for small/medium builders, developers and self-builders in the UK and is a market leader in closed panel systems used extensively for new build homes in Scotland and England.
THE ROLE
- Accept Project File to review same and prepare an action list to discuss with estimator
- Regular communications with clients and customers.
- Prepare detailed drawings for job specific client approval and detailed fabrication drawings and staged lines for factory output
- Review project to identify special material requirements to produce requisitions for externally sourced items
- Liaise internally/externally through design to assist/resolve technical and production issues, with all communication noted and filed
- Produce job specific despatch pack for client
- Project wallet to be filed with all purchase orders included and all information to be logged in doc tracker
- Resolve any site issues
THE CANDIDATE
- Experience of a Technical department and the understanding of the principles of Timber Frame Construction
- HNC / HND Building qualification or equivalent
- Ability to identify and implement performance goals, priorities, recommend measures
- Strong communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal as well as strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Able to manage workload and work to tight deadlines
- IT literate in systems relevant to role i.e. Mitek Software
- Ability to influence and lead change within the team
- Driving licence (travel and overnight stays may be required)
