Our Southern Construction region is looking for someone with technical construction knowledge, along with experience and passion in Quality to join the team. The role will be to support and mentor project teams in the basics of good QA practices.
Covering a region with visiting 3 sites a week, this role will:
- Support the preconstruction team to identify quality risks & controls at tender stage
- Review and challenge where appropriate the robustness of the project quality plan, including a review of planned benchmarks
- Review of trade quality plans for high risk trades prior to works starting on site
- Carry out physical site checks and review of controls being implemented for all high risk trades on site. This will include cross referencing back to specifications, checking tools/equipment for compliance and up to date calibration certifications, as well as checking that the controls reflect the details of the trade quality plan and that the records are the best that they can be.
- Occasional off site support visits to spot check QA controls by manufacturers of critical elements
- Support the aftercare team in finding effective solutions to defects
