Responsibilities

  • Price all project tenders in-line with the project brief, building parameters and submitted design, ensuring Gross Profit targets are achievable
  • Work with the Design Director and Architectural Technician on each project to ensure all produced designs are accurate, technically correct, deliverable, and fully costed
  • Build effective long-term relationships with 3rd party sub-contractors, ensuring best rates and pricing levels are received for all projects
  • Accurately input pricing and scope of work details into excel documentation and upload to Oscar
  • Ensure all quotations and technical designs are saved in the relevant project sub folder for ease of access by wider team
  • Ensure all cost documentation is ready on time for pitches and pitch rehearsals (both 48- and 24-hour rehearsals)
  • Ensure pricing, programme and other required tender information is produced for each tender submission in a timely fashion
  • Work with the Design Director to ensure that all Client designs are deliverable within the allotted Client budget and programme
  • Ensure Gross Profit margin requirements are achieved on all projects
  • Ensure that internal handover and adjudication meetings are well structured, fully attended and in strict compliance to the processes
  • Produce pre-contract programmes outlining all critical path activities required
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are followed at all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Ensure design scheme compliant of Building Regulations, Planning Regulations and Building Control Legislations
  • Ensure the allocated Project Management team understand the project background, building, scope of works, pricing, timeline, and risks
  • Adhere to all CDM requirements
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures that relate to anti-bribery, quality, environment and health and safety Review all MEP-related correspondence and offer guidance to Project Managers in preparing responses.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager in snagging and close-out processes.
  • Review the quality/content of services information for inclusion in O&M Manuals, conducting a final review for compliance.
  • Manage the preparation of Project Asset Registers, highlighting required maintenance for client issuance.
  • Stay informed about major environmental or legislative changes in the services industry and share relevant information with the construction team.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures that relate to anti-bribery, quality, environment and health and safety

Skills/Experience Required

  • Experience of cost planning with skill set to value engineer a design.
  • A commercial pre-contract background and a good experience of office design and build
  • Detailed knowledge of the JCT
  • Excellent presenter and listener
  • High self-motivation, enthusiasm, and ambition
  • Desire to succeed and positive can-do attitude

  • 5+ years industry experience or degree level qualification
