Our client is seeking a Technical Supervisor to lead a team of skilled engineers on a prestigious facilities management contract. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you'll oversee planned and reactive maintenance, drive operational excellence, and play a critical part in client satisfaction and safety compliance.

The Role: Technical Supervisor

As Technical Supervisor, you will manage a team of mobile and static engineers across the site(s), ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and compliance checks are completed to the highest standards. Working closely with the Area Facilities Manager, you'll support service delivery while maintaining an unwavering focus on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver PPM and reactive maintenance efficiently and safely
  • Oversee internal engineers and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with KPIs, SLAs, and statutory regulations
  • Act as the primary technical contact on-site and liaise with client stakeholders regularly
  • Maintain accurate records via CAFM systems and ensure task completion in line with contract terms
  • Assist with emergency responses and participate in the on-call rota
  • Support audits, compliance reporting, and Health & Safety procedures including RAMS
  • Lead toolbox talks, performance reviews, and service improvement plans
  • Maintain inventory and specialist equipment safely and effectively
  • Promote team development, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled engineer with formal technical qualification (mechanical/electrical)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in building services or facilities management
  • Proven team leadership and supervision capabilities
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems, statutory compliance, and SHEQ standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems
  • Eligible for BPSS and CTC security clearance
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure

Desirable Skills:

  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification
  • Experience managing high-security or critical environments
  • Familiarity with energy-saving and sustainability initiatives
  • Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
