Breedon is a leading construction materials group in the UK and Ireland. Breedon operate two cement plants, around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete and mortar plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities.
We are currently seeking a concrete and aggregates Technician to join our team based at Holme Hall Quarry near Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
You will be responsible for carrying out product compliance sampling and testing for the ready-mixed concrete and aggregates we produce. You will input and interpret test data and produce reports of non-conforming material, ensuring corrective action is taken. Strong attention to detail is therefore essential. Good communication skills are also important as you will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders, including customers to assist in the resolution of any issues. It is also essential that you will maintain an awareness of site practices and quality procedures and take action where these may adversely affect product quality.
Previous laboratory experience in concrete and aggregate testing is desirable.
