Kier Highways are recruiting for a Technology Engineer to join the Area 9 team based in the Birmingham and West Midlands area, to be part of the team driving change in Highways technology maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technology Engineer part of the Kier Strategic Highways Area 9 Asset Support Contract, you will have responsibility for delivering proactive technology maintenance and fault response, and be responsible for delivering elements of the maintenance requirements plan.

We want you to be part of a step change in the delivery of technology maintenance services, bringing them in line with Kier and Highways England's aspirations, so you work with the Technology Operations team to assist in developing the maintenance requirements plan.

There may be a need to deputise for the Technology Team Leaders when required., and this role is shift based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, rotating days and nights.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for someone who has experience working as a Highways technology maintenance engineer, with understanding of Highways England technology systems including TPMS, COBS and its subsystems, display equipment, CCTV, digital storage devices and motorway communications. You should also be able to demonstrate your knowledge and application of current technologies, standards and best practice relating to Highways England`s Motorway and trunk road communications systems.

Ideally, you'll also have Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and HERS Sector 8 training relevant to role.
