Kier Professional Services (KPS) are an exclusive in-house resource, providing readily available expert advice to support understanding and resolution of technical project issues in temporary and permanent works. KPS are able to quickly mobilise resources to support project delivery and consistently deliver a dependable design service for buildability and safety.
We are Kier, one of the UK's leading Construction and Infrastructure service, working on projects such as Hinkley Point C and Mogden Sewage Treatment Works. We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Works Advisor to support services across all of the business.
Key Responsibilities
As a Temporary Works Advisor in our Safety, Health, Environment and Assurance team, you'll enjoy the freedom and responsibility to advise on all aspects of our temporary works processes, procedures and installations, from minor temporary works to major Civils schemes - working on existing structures or new build projects involving a wide range of construction materials and temporary works equipment. You'll be helping shape TW Design Briefs and tender applications, liaising with in-house and external designers, inspecting installations, auditing site operations - as well as training and mentoring a wide range of colleagues, in a role that carries real influence and impact.
What do we need from you?
You'll be an experienced professional Engineer from a Design and/or Contracting background with a proven track record in the design and management of cost effective temporary works (TW) schemes. Alternatively, you may be an experienced Site or Project Manager seeking a chance to diversify into Temporary Works.
