A Structural Engineer with experience of temporary works design is sought to join this award winning structural consultancy at their offices based in South West London. The firm work on buildings structures covering both temporary and permanent works.
The practice is well established and expanding due to its continually increasing workload. The firm works mainly in the high end residential sector, both new build and refurbishment, often bespoke projects involving basement design and multi-storey schemes. Other projects include commercial schemes such as schools, data centres, public sector schemes, vertical extensions, re-cladding work. Projects normally range from £150,000 up to £10m.
This is an exciting time for a firm in its growth phase, and this position is for a candidate to play a key role in the future development of the business. If you are Chartered that would be particularly desirable. If not, then support to achieving this status is readily available. Temporary works design experience and experience in the residential buildings sector are essential. You will need to be commercially astute and able to liaise with clients.
Your duties will include hands on design at concept level, surveys and reports, and also involvement in the financial side of things such as invoicing and pricing and managing projects from inception from completion. The company is financially sound and this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for responsibility and progression.
