Terminal Operator Full time Leith, Edinburgh

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Plant Operator (Terminal Operator) at our cement terminal in Leith, near Edinburgh. The successful candidate will carry out daily production tasks and other such tasks as set by Management within the Terminal to the highest standards while maintaining exceptionally high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations
  • Perform visual quality inspections of product and final packaging
  • Set up, perform routine checks and operate machinery
  • Reduce waste and minimise production costs
  • Contribute to the consistent delivery of production targets and budgeted operational performance
  • Maintain exceptionally high standard of housekeeping
  • Perform the job in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policy.
  • Perform any other duties as may be reasonably be required from time-to-time.

    • Qualifications / Experience

  • Knowledge of machinery and equipment
  • Plant Operation experience loading shovel/Flt/ipaf
  • Driving Licence

  • Flexibility in relation to working skills/ hours/ location to meet business needs
