Timber Design Technician Job in Grangemouth, Scotland
I have a Timber Design Technician job available near Grangemouth. My client is a timber frame manufacturing specialist, looking for an experienced Timber Design Technician to strengthen their design team.
As the successful Timber Design Technician, you'll be working closely with the design team, reporting to the Design Manager. Delivering designs that meet the clients' requirements and expectations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare timber frame drawing packages including walls, floors, roofs and stairs
- Deliver designs to the agreed standards
- Ensure the accuracy of the design
- Ensure drawings are approved prior to manufacturing
- Offer solutions using alternative materials
- Ensure customer service levels are kept to the highest standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of timber frame design
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Consultec, Mitek, Woodengine or similar
(training can be provided on software you haven't used before)
- Understanding of building practises and regulations such TRADA, STA, NHBC.
