Our client is a national hire organisation to the construction sector, that due to the ever increasing portfolio of secured work, is now looking for several additional tool hire fitters that can drive 3.5t flat beds. They provide exceptional career opportunities, training and long term commitment. To be successful in the position of fitter / driver, it is required that you have skills and experience in the following areas:
·Advises and liaises with customers on site breakdowns.
·Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment to both customers and other staff.
·Trains junior fitters on equipment, processes and procedures.
·Ensures petrol and diesel equipment is maintained to safety standards.
·Services petrol and diesel equipment as per schedules.
·Completes preventative maintenance to petrol and diesel equipment.
·Completes accurately all paperwork to comply with health and safety regulations.
·Orders appropriate spares for equipment.
·Diagnoses problems with equipment and establishes whether it is appropriate to repair or replace depending on costs.
·Repairs equipment to high standards.
·Inspect and PAT test electrical equipment, ensuring appropriate certification and labelling.
·Inspects, cleans and services equipment ready for hire.
-Complies with all legal requirements such as Transport rules, Road Traffic Act and drives safely and professionally.
-Complies with and Health and Safety regulations such as vehicle maintenance, maintenance and efficiency of loading area, loads equipment safely, ensures strapped appropriately and keeps up to date with safety requirements.
-Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment.
-Keeps knowledge of equipment for hire up to date.
-Adheres to appropriate and relevant procedures.
-Completes accurately all paperwork such as delivery notes and tests logs.
-Courteous, polite and professional to all customers, recognises the importance of the driver role in terms of customer service.
-Gives advice and help to customers when on site, and provides solutions to queries.
-Passes on any leads or potential opportunities to the Branch, reports back site activity to aid sales.
-Plans routes to maximise efficiency and costs.
-Delivers goods promptly and safely to customers and other branches.
-Collects cash and payment from customers as appropriate.
