Town Planner Job in Exeter, Devon

I have a Town Planner position available with a growing privately owned national house builder for their new region in the Devon. You'll be joining the Planning and Technical teams in their brand new office in Exeter, working on residential developments across the South West.

Established 50 years ago, with 9 offices across the South West, Midlands, East Anglia, and North West. They are one of the UK's largest privately owned housebuilders who deliver well designed quality homes. As a company the development sizes range from circa 150 - 3000 units, this region delivers around 500 units per year across Berkshire, South Oxfordshire, Dorset, Hampshire and West Sussex and have a strong land bank for the next 5 years.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Producing site appraisals
  • Deliver planning applications
  • Prepare applications and negotiate planning permissions
  • Liaise with Land Agents, Land Owners and Planning Departments
  • Discharging conditions
  • Running own planning functions on specific developments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Town Planning degree
  • Ideally from a consultancy or house builder
  • Good knowledge of the local area
  • MRTPI or RICS Ideally.
