We are currently looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Highways team in Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
The Traffic Management Operative will support with all aspects of incident response, including but not limited to, attendance at, making safe, and repair of category 1 defects. The role may also require operatives to provide cover on nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. Taking responsibility for the safety of yourself and others within your team to ensure compliance with the relevant health and safety legislation and safe operation to protect members of the public. Keep records, complete all necessary paperwork, communicate and liaise with other employees of Kier, sub-contractors, emergency services, general public, clients and customers. Carry out temporary traffic management operations for various workstreams on the contract such as lane closures, traffic lights, road closures and footway management works. Impact protection vehicle (IPV) to assist with any emergency works or mobile short duration operations on the contract.
We are seeking candidates who?
- Have Construction Skills Certification Scheme - Skilled Worker or higher
- Hold a full driving licence
- Are Lantra M1/M2/M3/M5/T6 qualified
- Can produce an IPV Qualification - low speed and high speed
