Contract: Full time
Responsibilities
As Traffic Signal Supervisor you'll be working within the traffic management team, supporting them with contract operational works are adequately supervised so the contract delivers to full health and safety requirements, budget and programme.
Your day to day will include:
- Hold accountability for Operative behaviours when carrying out their operational duties, looking after the delivery of planned, reactive, third party repairs, winter maintenance and scheme works with thorough supervision of directly employed employees and sub-contractors
- Undertake shift briefings, site inductions, toolbox talks with all operational staff, conduct shift handover meetings, assisting with the management of incidents and defects cascaded through the OCR, taking part in the development, recruitment and selection of new operatives and apprentices
- Promote use of, and compliance with, the SHEMS, take charge of inspections to monitor workmanship and material quantities for all works, ensuring the relevant records are maintained
- Carry out various audits including: Gate checks, works surveillance safety audits, depot inspections, health & safety site inspections as required
This role of Traffic Signals Supervisor is great for you if you can:
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical works in traffic signals / streetlighting at a supervisory level
- Show working experience of NRSWA at an Operative / Supervisory level
- Provide a full driving licence to travel to different sites/locations
