Title - Train Engineer (Mechanical)
Location - Leeds
Shifts - Continental shift - 0700 - 1900
Salary - £31,500 basic and after 6 months service your basic will rise to £36,000
Package - x10 training modules to complete worth £1,500 each in bonuses + overtime + pension + holidays

They specialise in providing specialist logistic solutions for over 3000 customers. They specialise in intermodal and containerised distribution via road fleet and a railway network which spreads across the entire length of the UK.
The Role
As the Train Engineer, you will be responsible for providing general service and maintenance of locomotives.
50% of your role will be planned, carrying out everything from oil changes, filter changes, piston inspection and changes, swapping out connecting rods etc.
Along with this, 6 and 12 monthly (C & D) examinations will a part of your remit to carry out.
Once you have settled in and you are comfortable, you will move onto carrying out the overhauling of brakes, brake rigging, changing wheels, changing axles, changing traction motors etc
The Candidate
- I am looking for someone who is based in or commutable for Leeds
- NVQ level 3 mechanical / mechanics
- Have a background in maintaining HGV's, Locomotives or Yellow Goods
