Protocol are currently recruiting for a Trainee Carpentry Lecturer to join one of the fantastic colleges in East London! Potential candidates will have substantial industry experience within Carpentry and be available to start ASAP!
The Trainee Lecturer will receive a starting salary of £18,000 p.a. This will increase to £19,000 on receipt of a successful 6 month probationary review. At 12 months and successful completion of the first year of the teaching qualification, their salary will raise to £20,000 p.a. You will be required to teach 12 hours in the first term rising to 16 hours per week from Term 2. The contact hours will be 19 hours per week in the second year.

The College is part of The Taking Teaching Further Programme.
The Taking Teaching Further programme is a national initiative to attract experienced industry professionals with expert technical knowledge and skills to work in Further Education (FE). This Department for Education-funded initiative is managed on its behalf by the Education and Training Foundation who have also played a key role in the programme's development. It was launched in June 2018 and during 2018/19, there are two rounds of funding. The first round successfully funded 37 colleges and further education providers across two strands. In May 2019, it was announced 54 colleges and further education providers will be funded in Round 2.
Role responsibilities
*Trainee Lecturer will commence teaching as soon as possible, after they have attended the mandatory courses
*To work with the College in your continued development towards becoming a fully-fledged lecturer
*Attend the Teacher Training Programme sessions.
The person & qualifications
*Have at least 18 months experience within the industry
*Not hold any recognised teaching qualifications
*Be Available for an ASAP start
