Recently appointed as an Openreach core partner, this exciting contract will see us providing multi-million pound planned and reactive fibre and copper network services across Hampshire and Berkshire over the next five-years.
Key Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for Trainee Fibre Cabler and Fibre Jointer who after following an intense training programme will be responsible for undertaking underground /overhead construction and repair of optical fibre and copper cables in the Openreach network.
What we need from you?
No experience needed as we will provide you with full training. Applicants must have a willingness to learn.
Essential Criteria
You will need to hold a full driving licence with less than 6 points.
You need to possess a "can do attitude" always wanting to do the right thing for the customer.
You will need to be comfortable working at heights.
This is a physically demanding role therefore you will need to be physically fit enough to be able to carry out the manual handling requirements of the role.
You will need to have the ability to work as part of a team, outside in all weather conditions.
Desirable
Although not essential it would be beneficial if you had previous experience of working with smart technology/devices
Have completed training courses and hold telecommunications qualifications
Hold a NRSWA (Unit 2) and/or CSCS card.
A ability to accurately identify different coloured cables. (Note, this will be checked at interview)
