Trainee Lift Installation Engineer

Competitive Salary - £16,000 - £22,000

(Upper salary - candidate must have some relevant experience)

Full Time / Permanent

40 hour per week (Further opportunities for overtime available through call-outs and work outside normal working hours)

DVLA - Vehicle provided for a lift to work

Location: Northampton (NN4 postcode)

This position is based in Northampton for which you would need the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Our client's team is composed of Installation Engineer professionals who provide on-site customer service to ensure the smooth and safe operation of equipment. We are now looking for a Trainee Installation Engineer to provide professional elevator and escalator Installation service to customers.

You will work towards ensuring quality service, improving equipment safety and performance as well as promoting regular and proactive on-site communication to the customer and the people using the equipment.

The successful applicant is an effective communicator, curious about the customer's business and always striving to exceed their expectations. He/she is a flexible team-worker with focus on detail and proven problem-solving skills.To qualify for this position, the candidate should have previous relevant experience (mechanical/electrical engineering preferred) and good written and spoken English.

You will be responsible for:

· Installation of lifts using equipment provided

· Following schematic wiring diagrams and connection procedures

· Reporting of any changes or deficiencies with the installed system

· Completion of work reports

· Service, maintenance, and installation of equipment

· Planning, time planning of work

· Customer communications

· Customer relations

· Health & Safety

· Administration of documentation

· Presentation

To be considered for this role you must:

· Possess a CSCS Card / Site Safety Plus

· Have some experience of installing systems

· Possess some electrical knowledge

· Have a proven background through an apprenticeship or similar qualification

· Be able to carry, lift and climb ladders

· Able to carry equipment up and down ladders, i.e. detectors, cable and power tools

· Have the ability to use power tools to repair and dismantle equipment

· A qualification within a technical area would be highly desirable
