We have an opportunity for a confident and highly motivated Trainee Maintenance Coordinator to form part of the Lytag team. Reporting directly to the Factory Manager, you will be required to further the site’s focus on delivering the needs of the customer by focussing on supporting the maintenance and processes across the whole works. About the role You will be pro-active in improving safety, improving processes, proposing physical improvements and changes (and delivering them where approved) while supporting the Company maintenance and engineering ethos and drive towards excellence. Other elements of the role include: Support the site maintenance team in organising maintenance tasks Organise and manage contractors for maintenance activities throughout the site Track and organise statutory inspections to ensure legal compliance Ensure the most cost-effective solutions are researched to maintain the effective operation of the plant and other processes Support CAPEX management, sustain and multiply the Project Management Approach (PMA) Assist the site Manager in the application, implantation of and compliance with the company’s Cardinal Rules, Health and Safety policy, Environmental policy, Site specific rules and to ensure that all activities under your control are conducted within the requirements of current legislation Take a lead role in the daily site meetings and weekly maintenance meetings Liaise with Production and Technical closely to optimise product quality and quantity but also contribute to the development of new products Ensure that Health & Safety requirements – with regard to operational and administrative areas are maintained to the company standards Run Company systems thoroughly and effectively and support IMS audits Propose projects where improvement works fall outside of maintenance or continuous improvement activities and execute those within own ability Write permits, practice LOTOTO and create risk assessments to support works on site Input production and maintenance data into the daily review spreadsheet Ensure maintenance PPMs are kept up to date and update as required Produce weekly reports to show downtime for the maintenance meeting What will you bring? Highly motivated with initiative, drive, enthusiasm and a proactive approach and able to work to deadlines Experience in, and a deep understanding of, operating safely within a workplace Good levels of IT literacy Strong knowledge of Health & Safety Commitment to the pursuit of excellence, every day and in every way Able to work flexibly as part of a 24-hour, 5 day a week operation as required supporting the operation Excellent communication and team working skills ?
