Job title - Trainer

Location: This is an agile role where you will be based out of our Picketts Lock, Blackwall or Wraysbury site with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites

Contract & hours: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: £35k - £45k + Car + 26 days holiday plus bank holiday +

We are recruiting for a Trainer to produce and deliver training material primarily to enable the company to meet the detailed requirements of JAUPT, LANTRA and City & Guilds. In addition, to train and assess staff the workforce throughout the business in various other disciplines including driver training, SAFED, mobile plant, small tools and Health and Safety training.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the L&D Advisor the Trainer will ensure all training courses and content are produced and regularly updated in accordance with current legislation and the requirements of various awarding bodies. Deliver training and assessment in line with the awarding organisations policies and procedures. Produce and maintain accurate training/assessment records in preparation for External Verification from awarding organisations including JAUPT (Driver CPC), LANTRA (various Traffic Management Qualifications) City & Guilds (Winter Service) NPORS (Plant Training). Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to trainees and other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.

There is a requirement to be willing to travel (occasional trainer meetings, initial trainer training courses, but also potential further scope to support other contracts/areas if time allows) and the Willingness to work occasional nights (if assessing TM).

What do we need from you?

  • Experience of a Highway Maintenance operational background
  • Streetworks (NRSWA) Supervisor and or Operative Qualified
  • LANTRA 12B RLTMO or RTMO
  • City & Guilds Winter Service Operator Card
  • Plant Operative Qualifications (CPCS/NPORS/ALLMI/RTITB)
  • LGV Driving Licence
