Job title: Trainer/Assessor
Location: This is an agile role where you will be based out of our Picketts Lock, Blackwall or Wraysbury site with home working available and some travel to other offices and sites
Business Area: Highways
Contract & hours: Permanent, Fulltime
Salary: £35k - £45k + Car + 26 days holiday plus bank holiday + benefits
We are currently recruiting for a Trainer/Assessor to produce and deliver training material relevant to the Highways Maintenance sector such as Streetworks (NRSWA), Traffic Management (NHSS 12D/LANTRA) and Winter Maintenance (City and Guilds). In addition, to train and assess the workforce throughout the contract in various other disciplines including manual handling, vehicle marshal, CAT & Genny, small tools and Health and Safety Training.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure all training courses and content are produced and regularly updated in accordance with current legislation and the requirements of various awarding bodies.
- To deliver training and assessment in line with the awarding organizations policies and procedures.
- Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to trainees and other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.
What do we need from you?
- Experience of a Highway Maintenance operational background
- LANTRA 12 AB Foreman or Operative along with IPV Live and Non Live (min of 2 years experience).
- LANTRA 12D LTMO or Operative to M2 level as a minimum
- Streetworks Supervisor and or Operative
- City & Guilds Winter Service Operator Card (min of 2 years experience)
- Plant Instructor or Operative Qualifications (CPCS/NPORS/ALLMI/RTITB)
- LGV Driving Licence
- Excellent IT Skills
- Time Management
