We're looking for a Transport Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to join our existing Fleet team to act as the interface between Kier Fleet, transport managers and our supply chain partners.

Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire with hybrid/agile working available
Contract: Fixed Term Contract, full-time and able to consider part-time opportunities

Responsibilities

Reporting into our Head of Fleet, in this Transport Manager role, you will be responsible for managing the breakdowns and replacement vehicle provision for all rental vehicles. You will work closely with our internal fleet team, operational transport managers and fleet provider/suppliers to ensure that vehicle off road time is kept to a minimum. You will ensure that all breakdowns and defects are accurately recorded on our internal vehicle defect reporting system and managed to completion in line with our compliance requirements. You'll also be required to attend meetings with suppliers and operational managers as required.

Who are we looking for?

A driven, confident and responsive individual with good attention to detail. We're looking for previous experience operating as a Transport or Fleet Manager, preferably within the Highways or Construction sector. You'll hold a Certificate of Professional competence in National Road Haulage and mechanical knowledge is desirable.
