We're looking for a Transport Manager to join our team in the East Anglia Region to support our Anglian Water Alliance



Location: Flexible across the East Anglia Region (Suffolk, Norfolk, Lincolnshire).

This role will consist of travel to sites multiple days per week & office/ home working. Company car/ cash allowance provided

Contract: Permanent- full time



Responsibilities

As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for managing commercial vehicles (and operating centres for the purposes of the Operator's licence) across multiple sites on the Anglian Water Alliance which geographically covers the East Anglia Region.

You will ensure full and effective control is placed upon management of the fleet and the company's operator licence in relation to the Traffic Commissioners' Statutory Documents.



Your day to day will include:

  • Ensure close and effective control of the commercial fleet
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant HGV regulations and Traffic/ Transport Legislation
  • Ensure gate checks and weight checks are conducted
  • Oversee the maintenance and repairs, liaise with relevant supplier and fleet management company
  • Monitor and scrutinise weekly driver sheets/ tachographs/ driver hours rules & records ensuring compliance


  • What are we looking for?

    This role of Transport Manager is great for you if you hold:



    · Transport Manager's HGV certificate of Professional Competence (standard national as a minimum)

    · Full driving licence (Category B, category C preferable)

    · Demonstrable knowledge of transport legislation

    · Experience of transport management within the Utilities sector
