Job Title : Transport Manager (B2C)
Location: Nuneaton
This Opportunity will best suit an experienced individual who has a background in planning, staff management and dealing with operational & Transport needs.

Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and meet business objectives.

Oversee the maintenance, scheduling, and utilisation of the company's fleet, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.

Plan and optimise transportation routes to minimise delivery time and fuel consumption while considering traffic conditions and safety.

Manage the transportation budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and permits to maintain legal and safe operations.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance of the transportation team and implement improvements as needed.

Build and maintain positive relationships with transportation vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service quality.

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of drivers and transportation staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Promote a strong safety culture, conduct training programs, and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure employee well-being.

Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure on-time deliveries and address any transportation-related customer concerns.

Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement initiatives to enhance transportation efficiency.

Develop and implement contingency plans for emergency situations, ensuring swift response and recovery.

Stay updated on transportation technology trends and implement innovative solutions to improve operational effectiveness.

Implement eco-friendly practices and initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of transportation operations.

Prepare regular reports on transportation performance, cost analysis, and operational insights for management review.

Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and transportation regulations set by government agencies and relevant authorities.
Ideal Candidate:
- CPC qualification
- 2 years of Planning Experience
- 2 years of Management Experience
- ADR experience (not required)
- Multi-System Usage
- Client Management
- Understanding of Transport and Logistics movements
- B2C - Customer facing
- Large industry knowledge
