This highly successful and growing housing developer are currently seeking an experienced Urban Designer to join its team in West Sussex.

This award-winning developer has a focus on the production of new communities and the promotion of sustainability. By joining the design team, you will be working closely alongside the planning, design, building and sales teams. With a sole focus on housing developments, projects vary in size from 7 to 1000 homes. Due to an increase in current project sizes and continued success within the business, they are looking to recruit an Urban Designer.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Produce concept drawings and perform initial site appraisals
  • Creating high quality drawings and documents relating to planning applications
  • Working across multiple projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Attending design/project team meetings
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to company quality requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A degree in Urban Design is essential
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of working on large scale residential project would be highly beneficial
  • Understanding of the UK planning process and building regulations is essential
  • Proficiency is AutoCAD, Adobe suite and sketch up
  • Experience using Revit is desirable but training will be offered.
