This is an exciting opportunity with Kier Utilities, working in partnership with Anglian Water and Clancy Docwra within the utility drawing team.

Utility Drawing is at the heart of our operations. The role of the utilities drawing administrator is to produce utility drawings and is crucial to meet key business performance targets and ensuring excellent customer service


Key Responsibilities for this role include:
  • Produce utility drawings for emergency work (sent by phone or email) using specified systems on Kier frameworks.
  • Produce utility drawings for planned work using specified systems on Kier frameworks.
  • Administrating plans for both fast response and planned works.
  • Responsible for managing process for jobs with no grid references.
  • Be part of a team that provides support 24/7, 365 days a year via a rota.
  • Assist in updating systems with relevant work information
  • Highlight areas of process non-compliance from resources so that training needs may be identified.
  • Ensure plans that are at risk of missing service levels are dealt with and escalated as appropriate
  • Take information via phone calls and emails and work to deadlines
  • Escalate unexpected situations early to line manager to assist in managing operational risk
  • Undertake some management tasks during any manager absences.
  • Ensure compliance with contingency plan during incidents/system outage
  • Administration tasks associated with ensuring the Kier frameworks operate efficiently.
  • Be a point of contact for gangs on site having issues with plans and deal with them as necessary (investigate, redo or re-upload plans as needed)
  • Update SAP with details of gas mains for planned work
  • Check SAP for correct grid references if the ones on our export look incorrect.
  • You must be able to work from home with occasional travel to your local office. Regular travel to the Sproughton office for meetings and training will be required, so must be commutable.

    Please note: A reliable internet connection with a good speed is required and be capable of answering phone calls when on standby.

  • Previous experience of dealing with a busy workload.

  • Able to follow instructions.

  • Educated to 2 A level standard or equivalent
  • Strong prioritising and decision making skills
  • Able to show initiative, working on own or as part of a team.
  • Able to demonstrate a highly flexible, constructive attitude and strong team working skills.
