We're looking for a Utilities Site Manager to join our team based in the Redruth region. Within this role we will provide you with a company car or cash allowance for travel. You can enjoy progression opportunities and the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects of all sizes and complexities

Location: Redruth with regular travel to surrounding sites- company car or cash allowance provided

Salary: £45k - £48k depending on experience

Contract: Permanent, full time

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected.

In this role, you will be working on our National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) contractt, where we work on maintaining, repairing, and upgrading the electricity distribution network.

In this role as Utilities Site Manager (where internally you will be known as the Agent), you will play the vital role of delivery of schemes across the area, by managing teams consisting of both direct labour and supply chain, where you will also work closely with the Client.

Your day to day will include:


  • Holding constant contact and liaison with operational teams to ensure we manage the work instructed to us in a professional, efficient and commercially aware manner from, excavating, cable laying, backfill and reinstatement.
  • Manage the pre-planned programmed works and daily response to faults, whilst ensuring invoices are submitted correctly for works complete
  • Undertaking weekly safety sites audits, toolbox talks & daily briefings
Who are we looking for?

This role of Utilities Site Manager is great for you if:

  • Hold experience within the utility sector managing a team
  • Hold NRSWA qualification preferably at supervisory level & SMSTS Certification, however if not we'll help you obtain this
  • Full Driving Licence
