Are you a vehicle body and paint technician looking for a change of scene? Do you fancy coming off the tools and exploring a new branch of your career?
Protocol are recruiting for an experienced paint technician and panel beater/smart repairer/body prepper to train others in the field.
No teaching experience is necessary, our client is looking for passionate industry professionals and will provide the necessary training qualifications. If you have experience in the vehicle paint and body repair, relevant certificates or qualifications, and the desire to pass your knowledge on to the next generation, this is the role for you. You will be working with apprentices in the body and paint field, visiting them regularly in the workplace and teaching them the tricks of the trade.
Our client is a national provider of apprenticeships with a thriving Automotive branch. They have a state-of-the-art Academy with three workshops, and they are currently seeing a trainer to cover the Hampshire area. No two days are the same and travel around the region is to be expected - but there are excellent benefits on offer including car allowance up to £3500, fuel card, laptop/tablet, mobile phone, generous holiday allowance and other rewards.
Main responsibilities
*To train apprentices and support them in achieving Body and Paint qualifications
*To visit apprentices regularly in their workplace and ensure good progression
*To motivate and drive learners to succeed
The Person and Qualifications
*Experience within both Body Repair and Paint Spraying
*Vehicle Body and Paint qualifications to Level 3 (e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds certificates)
*Experience training junior members of staff or apprentices (desirable)
