Working as part of the Cennox Signage team, this role will focus on vinyl design and development. As part of our graphics department the Vinyl Shop Technician will produce large format prints, vinyl graphics, creating drawings and all other works associated with our trade

Based in West Norwood, with occasional travel to other sites as required you will be working normal office hours, however, there may be a need for occasional after hours and weekend work. Working alongside a highly skilled Signage team, this is a great opportunity to develop your career.

You will be responsible for:

Designing, producing drawings, setting artwork, cutting, and operating digital media printers, weeding and application of vinyl's by hand or by laminator. Creating visuals for client approval working with the sales team to turn briefs on client's requirements to create drawings to spec and budget for clients to sign off and approve. Working with SignLab, Adobe and Corel Draw along with large format printers and plotters to produce. Supporting colleagues to ensure customer needs are met. Identifying opportunities to improve ways of working. Undertaking general construction and assembly. Attending various sites for onsite work requirements when needed. Where required to work with small projects independently. Manage stock and keep track of materials needed for projects. We are looking for someone who fits the following criteria:

Previous experience in digital and vinyl graphics Previous experience, demonstrating competence, in SignLab, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, Photoshop and any other sign/design programmes. Word and Excel skills. Experience and skilled in laminating by machine and by hand. Experience using large format printers and plotters, cutters and laminators. Able to produce drawings and simple designs. Able to run small projects independently. Able to keep track of materials needed for projects. Able to work with vinyl films including laying and sometimes site work. You'll do great in this role if you also have a professional and reliable attitude in working environment and CAD and design experience
